MPV Properties predecessor, Merrifield Patrick Vermillion, identified a prime piece of land in Charlotte’s Bryant Park neighborhood. Because of its close proximity to Uptown Charlotte, the existing structures on the property were a prime candidate for redevelopment. In 2007, 2145 Suttle Avenue was redeveloped and was subsequently leased to the Charlotte School of Law. 10 years later, as Charlotte School of Law vacated the building to move Uptown (before abruptly closing a year later), Mecklenburg County landed on the building as its new location for the “Bringing Mecklenburg County to You” initiative.
- Rezoned the land for different use
- Developed 100,000 SF of Class A office space
Result: Today it houses the Mecklenburg County Code Enforcement group, along with other government services.
