In 1999, there was a realized potential of locating a business park near the newly opened Charlotte outer belt, which would provide easy access to the site. MPV Properties predecessor, Merrifield Partners, identified the need to provide a master-planned business park in southeast Charlotte for small to medium sized companies looking for ready to build sites.
The successful completion of the project entailed:
- Acquired and master-planned the site
- Extended utilities to the property
- Built internal roads
- Established protective covenants and architectural controls
- Managed the marketing and architectural review process to attract quality tenants who are committed to long-term value
Today, Old Hickory Business Park stands as a 225-acre master-planned park located approximately 2.5 miles from two outer belt (I-485) interchanges.
