“Merrifield Partners started developing NoDa early, at a time when most people couldn’t see the vision. They did good work at an important time for this neighborhood and I hope they’ll continue to do more.”
Paul McBroom, President
NoDa Business Association
The North Davidson (NoDa) art district of North Charlotte was in its early stages of redevelopment when MPV Properties predecessor, Merrifield Partners, saw the opportunity to add mixed-use buildings to its core area. The company’s development in the area includes:
- Development of the Nevitt building at 3205 N. Davidson Street, which includes five street-level retail units and ten urban lofts
- Development of the Lofts 34 building at 3100 N. Davidson Street, which includes four street level retail units and twelve lofts
Under current development is the Fat City project located at 3123 North Davidson Street, which includes 26 residential units and six retail spaces. By providing buildings with ground floor, street-front retail space and upper story residential units, the projects increase the density of the urban core of the NoDa commercial district. This has helped foster the growth of this dynamic area.
