Charlotte, NC (May, 2018) – MPV Properties (MPV) is pleased to announce that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has purchased 2.49 acres at Mallard Oaks in University City, with plans to build a Bishops’ Storehouse, a welfare distribution facility for the Church. The parcel is located along Interstate 85 at Mallard Creek Church Road/Highway 29 and John Adams Road. Bishops’ Storehouses provide food and household commodities to those in need. There are over 100 Bishops’ Storehouses in North America. This will be the fourth center of its kind in the area, with the closest locations being in Greensboro and Mocksville, NC, and Columbia, SC. Construction is expected to begin this year.
