As a Development Partner at MPV Properties, Austin’s responsibilities include sourcing and overseeing new build-to-suit, retail, and vertically integrated mixed-use development projects. Austin works closely with all stakeholders of the development process by leading projects through site selection, partnership formation and structure, financial feasibility, design, entitlements, construction, stabilization, marketing, and sales for each respective project.
Since joining MPV Properties in 2018, Austin has completed 26 build-to-suit, retail, and vertically integrated mixed-use projects across 11 states totaling +$140 million in value and has held various leadership roles across each project. Some of Austin’s major projects include Christenbury Village (17-acre grocery anchored mixed-use project), 22 FINS Car Washes, and 13 Sunbelt Rentals build-to-suits. Austin enjoys working with clients such as Sunbelt Rentals, AAA Carolinas, AAA Club Alliance, Lowes Foods, Elevation Church, and many other retailers.
Austin received a B.S. in Finance from The University of North Carolina Wilmington in 2018 and an MBA with a concentration in Real Estate Finance and Development from The University of North Carolina at Charlotte in 2023. Austin is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and holds his broker license in both North Carolina and South Carolina.
While at UNCW, Austin was a four-year starter for the Seahawks baseball team. He ended his baseball career with a trip to the NCAA Regionals and was selected by the Toronto Blue Jays in the 2018 MLB draft. Austin resides in Charlotte with his wife, Carly.
