Charlotte, NC (May, 2016)MPV Properties (MPV) announces the purchase of 200 Clanton, an 85,000 SF building located in the growing “LoSo” (Lower South End) district, in between South Tryon Street and South Boulevard on Clanton Road. The building was purchased in partnership with Selwyn Property Group from Lifespan, a non-profit organization that offers children and adults with disabilities educational, employment, and life enrichment assistance. Lifespan will continue to occupy 12,000 SF of space in the building until later this year. Once the climate-controlled self-storage has opened, MPV Properties will begin to explore potential conversions of a portion of the building’s space into brewery production, brewery taproom, office, retail or a combination of those uses.

Eric Nichols, J.Q. Freeman and Mary Bryant of MPV Properties are managing the redevelopment of the self-storage portion of the building. The new upfit is expected to be complete this fall. ai Design Group is responsible for the design of the remodel. Doerre Construction is the general contractor for the project.
