Charlotte, NC (January 2011) – The building at 1018 Jay Street Charlotte, NC has been sold to one of the nation’s largest plastic recycling companies; Custom Polymers, Inc.

Custom Polymers Inc., headquartered in Charlotte NC, currently occupies approximately 180,000 square feet in three buildings centered together. The 1018 Jay Street building is located near the corporate headquarters on Tuckaseegee Road, two miles from downtown and has great access to both major interstates. The 79,600 square foot building, built in 1952, had been the home of several companies in the past that included Southeast Building Supply and Hutting Sash and Door.

The acquisition provides Custom Polymers additional space for light manufacturing and distribution as well as 5-10 new employees in 2011, which brings their local employee base to 45.
