Charlotte, NC (March, 2019) – MPV Properties (MPV) is pleased to announce the sale of a 57 acre residential tract located in east Charlotte at the northeast intersection of W.T. Harris Boulevard and Grier Road. The property was purchased by M/I Homes for $2.1 million at the beginning of March, and the builder plans to develop 140 single family homes in a community they have named, Selwyn Landing. The homes will range from 1,600 to 2,400 square feet and pricing will start from the high $200k’s.
The new neighborhood is located approximately 2.5 miles from the Old Concord LYNX Light Rail Station, and it will have a direct vehicular and pedestrian connection to the Food Lion shopping center located at 2931 W.T. Harris Boulevard. It is also directly across from Joseph W. Grier Academy and the CPCC Cato Campus. M/I Homes believes this project will be a great opportunity to offer entry level pricing in an area that is quickly changing, and they plan to start construction this summer with the first homes ready by Spring of 2020.
MPV has been very active in the surrounding area over the years including development of the University East Business Park, and the planned Farmington mixed-use development at I-485 and Rocky River Road. Bailey Patrick and Bailey Patrick Jr. represented the Seller in the transaction.
