Joey, a lifelong resident of Charlotte, joined MPV Properties in August 2008 after graduating from the University of North Carolina Wilmington, where he earned bachelor’s degrees in business administration and communication studies. Joey started his career in Wilmington, NC working for Zimmer Development Company.
Joey specializes in landlord representation throughout the Carolinas and tenant representation along the East Coast. He has been involved in leasing more than 2.5 million square feet in power centers, grocery anchored retail centers, mixed use projects, neighborhood strip centers and free-standing buildings. Joey also assists in site selection for grocery anchored centers, land acquisitions, and investment property sales. He currently represents Harris Teeter and Dunkin’ Donuts, along with a group of national fast-food tenants — including Pizza Hut, KFC, and Taco Bell — across the East Coast. Joey has completed real estate transactions in more than 17 states with an extensive master brokerage portfolio.
Joey is a member of the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC) and holds broker licenses in North Carolina, South Carolina, and Georgia. Outside of MPV, he is an active volunteer with the YMCA of Greater Charlotte, former board chair of the Stratford Richardson YMCA and is a current board member of the Sullenberger Aviation Museum. Joey enjoys golf, tennis, and hunting, and spends much of his free time coaching youth soccer and spending time with his wife, Caitlin, and their three children.
