Charlotte, NC (June, 2011) – Merrifield Patrick Vermillion, LLC one of the area’s leading providers of commercial real estate services represented Raeford Road, LLC with the leasing of its 2,840 square foot office building at 2316 Randolph Road to The Charlotte Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure.
The Charlotte Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure is dedicated to combating breast cancer at every front. Up to 75 percent of the Affiliate’s net income goes toward funding grants to local hospitals and community organizations that provide breast health education and breast cancer screening and treatment programs for medically underserved women. The remaining net income (a minimum of 25 percent) supports the national Komen Grants Program, which funds groundbreaking breast cancer research, meritorious awards and educational and scientific programs around the world.
Charlotte Affiliate’s service area is Mecklenburg County and the eight surrounding counties that border it; North Carolina: Cabarrus, Gaston, Iredell, Lincoln, Mecklenburg, Rowan, Stanly and Union South Carolina: York
Since its inception, the Komen Charlotte Affiliate has made great strides in improving breast health services and reaching out to the underserved members in our local community. The Affiliate has raised over $10 million in eleven years by holding the annual Komen Charlotte Race for the Cure® and other events hosted by organizations and individuals.
