The Mecklenburg Times recently featured The Village Riverbend, a 115-acre development project planned for Mountain Island Village, in the Inside Tract section of their May 19th publication. The mixed-use development features 320,000 SF of retail space, 170,000 SF of office space, and approximately 600 residential units. Landmark Development Partners LLC and Simpson Commercial Real Estate are developing the project, which is located where the old Mountain Island Promenade project was planned before the recession in 2008. The expected completion of the project is 2017.
