Charlotte, NC (June, 2017) – Riverbend Village is pleased to announce that Corning Optical Communications, a division of Corning Incorporated – one of the world’s leading innovators in materials science, with unparalleled expertise in specialty glass, ceramics, and optical physics, is moving its headquarters to Riverbend Village in Charlotte, North Carolina.
Riverbend Village is a new regional mixed-use development on approximately 120-acres off I-485 and Mt. Holly-Huntersville Road near historic Mountain Island Lake in northwest Charlotte.
Riverbend Village will be home to Corning Optical Communications’ 182,500 sq. ft. office headquarters. In addition to Corning Optical Communications headquarters, Riverbend Village will include a 78,000 sq. ft. Harris Teeter and a Harris Teeter Fuel center along with a tenant mix including restaurants and neighborhood service concepts. In total, Riverbend Village will include approximately 330,000 sq. ft. of retail space and over 500 residential units.
Grading of Riverbend Village is near completion with vertical construction set to commence in the next few months which will result in an anticipated delivery of Summer 2018.
Joey Morganthall and Keely Hines with MPV Properties represent Riverbend Village and are leasing the remaining available space in the center. Simpson Commercial, LLC and Landmark Development Partners, LLC are the developers of Riverbend Village.
